Spaceport

Spaceport is a visitor attraction which takes you on an inspirational journey through space, as you walk through several themed galleries, which all feature a large variety of interactive hands-on exhibits and audio visual experiences.

See the Wallace & Gromit in Space exhibition for a cracking day out. Wallace & Gromit in Space has been designed specifically for Spaceport and includes frequent references to ‘A Grand Day Out’, including the famous orange rocket and the dynamic duo’s picnic site, as well as some fascinating factual information about the Moon, our Solar System and the history of space exploration.

There’s an amazing opportunity to interact with some of Wallace’s own inventions, including the Shopper 13 game, and the chance to invent the next zero gravity gadget.

The exhibition will take visitors on an exciting interactive journey, with lots of making and creating along the way.

Merseyferries

Ferries have featured on the River Mersey for over 800 years providing a lifeline between the Wirral Peninsula and the City of Liverpool. Today's now world-famous ferry service is run by the Mersey Ferries team, as well as taking thousands of people out on the Mersey each year they also operate a range exciting and informative attactions alon the riverside.

The Mersey Ferries are Merseyside's most visited tourist attraction and offer a number of cruises each day. Each cruise offers fantastic views, fresh air and that great feeling you only get on the water.

Why not take a Daily River Explorer cruise which operates all year round and is a great way for the whole family to see the world-famous waterfront landscape. The cruise includes full commentary and runs between 3 terminals, Seacombe in Wallasey and Birkenhead, both on the Wirral and Liverpool Pier Head. Total journey time is approximately 50 minutes, with the option to break and restart your journey at any terminal throughout the day so that you can visit other riverside attractions such as the U Boat Story in Birkenhead or The Beatles Story in Liverpool.
